Pastor Tim grew up in a preacher’s home and was saved at the age of seven. He announced his calling to preach at the age of twenty. He attended Tabernacle Bible College and graduated with a three-year degree. He received his fourth year (Bachelor degree in Biblical education) through Faith Bible Theological Institute. He earned his master’s degree from Macedonia Baptist College and has an honorary doctorate from Faith Baptist College.
He and Debra were married in 1989; they have two children. Aaron is a pastor in Albany, GA, and is married to Candice. Andrea is a senior at PCS. They have one grandson, Colton.
Pastor Tim has been pastoring Philadelphia Baptist Church since 2001, and is the founder of Philadelphia Christian School and North Georgia Baptist College.
Brother Hub was born and raised in a Christian home and school in Minnesota. He surrendered to preach in January of 2001 while a freshman at Crown College. While at college, he met and after college married his wife, Kate. They both graduated in 2004 with Bachelor degrees, His in Pastoral Ministry while hers was in Elementary Education. After graduation and marriage they began working at an inner city church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After almost ten years, the Lord led his family to serve at Gospel Baptist Church in Ohio where he began teaching and administrating a Christian school. In the fall of 2015, God moved his family once again to Georgia. Though not southerners, they were soon settled in and began leading Philadelphia Christian School. He serves here with his wife and three children: Jonathan, Lydia, and Gracie.
Mrs. Carver was raised in a pastor’s home. She was saved at the age of eight. She was privileged to attend a Christian school her junior and senior years of high school. That is where she fell in love with Christian education. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Reinhardt College. She has thirty years teaching experience in five different schools. She has been married to Anthony Carver since 1983. They have three children: Benjamin, Annette, and Jacob (2007 PCS Graduate) and six grandchildren: Aaron, Zane, Emilee, Zachary, Vera, and Cash; three of those grandchildren presently attend Philadelphia Christian School. Mrs. Carver and her husband attend Philadelphia Baptist Church.
Mrs. Thomas grew up attending church and always thought of herself as a good person. At the age of fourteen, she realized that she was a sinner and needed a Savior. She attended Christian school throughout her elementary and high school years. After graduation, she attended Tennessee Temple University and graduated from Pickens Technical College in 1997. She is married to Kevin, who is the youth pastor here at Philadelphia Baptist Church. They have four children, Georgia Lynn (2015 PCS Graduate), Hope, Charity, and Zeke.
Mrs. Huskins was raised in a Christian home here in North West Georgia. At the age of fourteen, she put her faith and trust in Jesus Christ and was eternally saved from her sin. She has received a master’s degree in cosmetology & teaching cosmetology from Dalton Beauty College. She began helping as a volunteer in 2015 and soon transitioned to full time teacher. She is married to Scott Huskins and has one daughter, Kaydee. Together they attend Skyline Baptist Church.
Mrs. Davis was raised in a Christian home, enriched with a Christian education. From an early age, she was filled with a desire to become a Christian educator. She was saved while attending a Bible camp at the age of twelve. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a Reading Certificate from Reinhardt University as well as being certified in Special Education. She and her husband, Josh, were married in 2002. They have two children, Allayah and Gabe. As a family they attend and serve at Cloverleaf Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bowman is our 1st and 2nd Grade teacher. She has lived in this area her whole life. Mrs. Bowman was saved at a revival meeting at her church when she was twelve years old. She married Daryl Bowman on March 13, 2010. They have three boys, Daryn, Devan, and Kaden is their foster son. She has been teaching for thirteen years. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia in 2005. She continued her education with a Master’s Degree from the University of West Georgia in Early Childhood Education in 2010. She finished her college career in 2012 with a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial. She also has a Reading Endorsement.
Mrs. Lingerfelt was raised in a Christian home, attending church from the time she was born. She put her faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation at the age of eleven. Upon attending and joining Philadelphia Baptist Church, she met Tyler who would become her husband in November of 2015. Tyler is a graduate of Philadelphia Christian School, and Emily is a graduate of North Georgia Baptist College. Together they are dedicated to serving the Lord here at Philadelphia.
Mrs. Parker was born and raised in Georgia. At the age of sixteen she made a profession of faith but received assurance in 1984. In 1983, she married Kevin Parker. They live in Gordon County with their two sons: Brandon and Dillan. Sherry is a cancer survivor who enjoys reading and spending time with her family. As a family, they serve the Lord here at Philadelphia.
