Philadelphia Christian School began as a burden in the heart of Pastor Tim McCulley. He desired a safe place to provide a Christian education for a local church family as well as their community. After carrying this burden for several years, God opened the door, and Philadelphia Christian School was birthed in the fall of 2004. The goal was to lay the solid foundation of God’s truths, with the needed academics, to build strong young people who would serve the Lord fervently in their generation. Philadelphia Baptist Church voted to use the fellowship hall to house the initial eighteen students and two teachers. The second year the school grew from only offering a four year old class through seventh grade to then offering classes through tenth grade. Twelfth grade was not too far down the road, and the school has even met the need of a three year old program when requested.
In 2005, the Lord blessed and construction was begun on a 50 by 95 foot multi-purpose building. To the glory of God, it was completed debt free. In 2012, the school again expanded; this time into a newly acquired modular building.
Throughout the years, we have seen God’s protection and provision. God has blessed the school with many faithful families, volunteers, and staff. We have seen many young people walk across the platform and receive their diplomas. We give God thanks for allowing us to impact the lives of so many young people. It is a great joy to see so many young people still serving the Lord today.
